Terms
Last updated 4 November 2026
Agreement
These terms cover the website at shipatmidnight.dev/kit and the Ship at Midnight kit software (a Claude Code plugin). By using either, you agree to them. The kit is a free, non-commercial passion project run by Shreyas Sawant, an independent developer.
The software and its licence
The kit's own files are open source under the MIT License. Bundled third-party pieces keep their own licences, listed in the notices and in the repository's THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. The website font (Schibsted Grotesk) is used under the SIL Open Font License: licence; JetBrains Mono, used for terminal output, under the same licence : licence.
What it is, and isn't
The kit is a set of instructions (skills and agents) that a model follows inside Claude Code. Its output is produced by a model and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Its security, abuse and legal passes are checklists and scanners: they are a floor, not a guarantee, and nothing the kit produces is legal, security or professional advice. Its name check is a scripted search, not a trademark clearance. You decide what ships; the ship gate exists so that decision stays with you.
Third-party tools
The kit links to, and some steps use, tools made by others (Claude Code, GSD, gitleaks, the GitHub CLI, NVIDIA SkillSpector and SkillEvaluator, and the companions listed in the README). Each is governed by its own licence and terms, and we are not responsible for them. Scan anything you install.
Acceptable use
Do not use the kit, or anything it produces, to break the terms of any service it runs in or contacts, to access systems you are not authorised to use, or to present model output as professional advice.
Names and trademarks
The kit is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic or any other company named on this site. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. Other names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. If you represent a company and want a reference changed or removed, email shreyassaw@gmail.com. We aim to act within 48 hours.
Copyright concerns
If you believe something in the kit infringes your copyright, email shreyassaw@gmail.com with: your contact details; the work you believe is infringed; where the material is; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised; a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and your signature. We will review it and remove material where appropriate.
No warranty
The website and software are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as described in the MIT License. You are responsible for how you use them and for what you ship.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue or profit, arising from the website or software. Because the project is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero, or the lowest amount the law permits.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the website or software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
